We are thrilled to announce that Matt Thorpe has been cast in the West End production of Mamma Mia. This follows Matt working with the Stadium Theatre Company for P and O Cruises, the UK Tour of High School Musical 2 and the UK Tour of Hairspray.

To keep us in line with Music For Youth, we have decided to change the age ranges of the choirs as follows.

Junior Choir – Up to Year 8

Senior Choir – Year 9 and up

If you have already changed choirs then you will stay with the new group and you will have chance to sing with both choirs in competitions.

New members will join the choirs as listed above.

Rainbow Connection Choirs Start back tonight. Friday September 3rd at 6.30 -7.30, the venue is the Main Hall at Doncaster Deaf Trust.

New members are welcome to come along.

Dance and Drama classes start on September 4th

Drama is at 1.30 and Dance at 2.30

Junior Class re-starts too, this class will be in the Airport Lounge at Doncaster Deaf Trust.

Drama Group (year 7 and Up) – Saturdays 1.30 – 2.30 everyone welcome

Junior Choir (up to year 6) – Saturdays 2.30 – 3.30 everyone welcome

******NEW***** Dance Class for Singers and Actors (year 7 and up) – Saturdays Saturdays 2.30 – 3.30 everyone welcome
This class is aimed at Singers/Actors who need to have some dance experience. Taken by qualified ISTD teacher.

COST

Classes are priced per hour with a multiple class discount (payable every 4 weeks in advance)

1 hour – £5.50 per hour
2 hours – £4.50 per hour
3 hours or more – £3.50 per hour

For students who have private or small group lessons, you can count this as 1 hour when working out your class fees.

If you haven’t managed to get private lessons with us due to our full to bursting diary. Now is the time.

Between now and August 12th we have a limited number of spaces for 1/2 and 1 hour lessons.

These will be a mix of music and movement and are open to everyone.

Saturday July 24th and Saturday July 31st

glee session: 1.30 – 2.30. This is for anyone from school year 7 to adult

junior glee session: 2.30 – 3.30. This is for anyone up to and including school year 6

The sessions cost £5.50 and will be held in the Main Hall at Doncaster Deaf Trust on Leger Way (opposite the racecourse).

You don’t need to book a place, just turn up.

Just to confirm the dates for 2 upcoming concerts.

Saturday 4th September – Charity Event at Walkers Nurseries.
This will be an outdoor event during the evening and several groups are performing. It will be a combination of RC Singers and Youth Choir

Saturday 25th September – Forever Autumn at Walkers Nurseries Restaurant
Due to the space limitation at the venue it will be a smaller group for this concert.
Booking are direct with Walkers and the function will be show with dinner and champagne reception.

We are thrilled to announce that The Rainbow Connection Singers were successful at the National Selection stage of the competition and have progressed to the Category Finals at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Saturday November 6th.

Only 4 Choirs have reached the Final in the Open Section so this is a major achievement.
